Through an 1:1 replica of the museum space, we've created a boundless digital canvas where students can explore the principles of museum curation with complete creative freedom. This innovative approach allows aspiring curators to experiment with spatial arrangements, thematic storytelling, and visitor experiences in ways impossible in traditional training settings. By removing physical limitations, students gain deeper insights into exhibition design while developing curatorial confidence through hands-on virtual practice before applying these skills in the actual museum environment.

The Challenge
The Hong Kong Palace Museum faced the challenge of training curators efficiently without disrupting the visitor experience. Traditional training methods limited hands-on practice opportunities, as students couldn't experiment freely within the actual exhibition spaces. Additionally, the museum wanted to extend its cultural presence beyond physical walls while maintaining the integrity of its priceless collections.
The Solution
We developed a meticulously detailed virtual replica of the museum, enabling student ambassadors to practice curation in a risk-free environment. This solution allowed trainees to arrange exhibitions, experiment with storytelling approaches, and refine visitor experiences without physical constraints.
